Singapore is one of the fascinating city states in the world. How it has evolved into modern megalith is an engrossing historical fact. In the span of two centuries this island has transformed itself into an ultra modern city from few coastal colonies.

Historically Sir Stamford Raffles’s arrival to island, in the beginning of nineteenth century is the turning point that started the evolution of modern day Singapore. In the beginning there were only Malay inhabitants and no Singapore hotels on the island.

In the initial waves of immigrants were mostly from China. These Chinese immigrants were mostly traders and workers. Along with these waves of Chinese immigrants came the waves of immigrants from India. Those coming from India were also mostly businessmen and laborers.
